A peaceful visit by the Japanese group to the cooperative of Ajdig N’targuinine, where the role of rural women in the production of argan oil is discussed. The Japanese group traveled to this cooperative in the heart of Morocco to learn about the traditional process of producing argan oil, a task mostly carried out by women in the region. With a keen interest in sustainable practices and the empowerment of women, Japanese visitors witnessed the exceptional craftsmanship of local women, who pass down their expertise in harvesting the fruits of the argan tree and painstakingly extracting the precious oil from generation to generation. The enriching cultural exchange between the Japanese and the women of the cooperative underlined the importance of preserving these ancestral traditions and supporting the economic autonomy of rural women.
